Posted by admin On April - 15 - 2010

Sony is launching its 3D plans for the rest of the year and the new is its UK branch. With LX903 and HX903 models,  HX803 Sony UK's 3DTV3D-ready model is first out the door in June arriving shortly afterward packing specs identical to its US cousins, with Freeview HD tuners and PAL-friendly refresh rates in addition.

Since the HX803 has not come with any of those 100-hour battery rated glasses , viewers getting ready for the 2010 World Cup will likely go for one of the 3D accessory packs with two pairs included and also the necessary IR emitter.

No info is available on the prices for any of these yet but within the launch “limited period”, PS3 owners who buy a new TV can expect to vouchers with download codes for 3D-upgraded versions of four PSN games: WipEout HD (full game), PAIN (3 episodes), Motorstorm Pacific Rift (single level demo) and Super Stardust HD (full game).

There are four reasons to join the 3D revolution and to make your first 3D experience a Sony one:

1.New Sony 3D TV “BRAVIA” HX803 launch model
2.Exclusive 3D Blu-ray disc movies bundled with selected Sony 3D TVs and Blu-ray players
3.Free 3D stereoscopic game titles for PlayStation (PS3™) with all Sony 3D TVs
4.The most comprehensive range of 3D Blu-ray Players and Home Cinema Systems available

Movie heads get cloudy with a chance of Deep Sea Blu-ray 3D discs and Meatballs bundled with unspecified “selected products,” going on sale by itself June 14.

GoogleTvThe New York Times has it on good authority that Google, Sony and Intel have joint their hands to develop an Android-powered internet platform by using Atom processors for set-top boxes and Televisions. Dubbed Google TV seems to be making web app navigation (Picasa photo site,Twitter social network , etc.) as easy as changing the channel.

Some existing set-top boxes and televisions offer access to Web content, however the choice of websites is limited. Google intends to open its TV platform, based on its Android operating system for smartphones, to software developers. The company hopes the move will spur the same outpouring of creativity that consumers have seen in applications for cellphones.

Google is expected to deliver a toolkit to outside programmers within the next two months and products based on the software could appear soon this summer.

The three companies, Google, Sony and Inte have tapped Logitech, which specializes in computer speakers and remote controls for peripheral devices, including a remote with a tiny keyboard.

will provide you more info soon. If you have any query, ask me here!

Is Sony’s ‘kill switch’ a myth or rumor?

Posted by admin On January - 23 - 2010

Sony-killswitchCould there be something inside your Sony TV programmed or laptop to break the device when the warranty expires? It may sound as a conspiracy theory not far off those involving the mysterious deaths of engineers, but it is a theory that continues to persist to some degree in Japan and seems to have grown even in recent years.

Telegraph.co.uk reports: the belief in a “kill switch” or secret timer has been around for the nearly 20 years or so, but it took on some newfound momentum amid the rash of Sony laptop battery failures, that prompted some Sony execs to deny publicly that such a switch exists.

Apparently, the kill switch is not completely pervasive though, as the PlayStation 3 is “exempt,” thereby explaining its considerable success in Japan although there is some talk that is because it is a Trojan horse for the next big scheme of Sony: mind control disguised as 3D glasses.

Posted by admin On December - 9 - 2009

Sony EricssonToday, I have brought the good news for you all in this holiday season that Sony Ericsson has pushed out an update for the Satio and Aino handsets comes word that they have been welcomed back into the shops. Now, at least Phones 4u in the UK is already selling the updated version of the phone, and even, it is reporting strong sales from over the weekend.

Now, there is also a software update available for current Satio owners but details on it are fairly light to what exactly the update brings other than “improved handset speeds and battery usage” and that it “fixes previous software issues”. What is more, while retail availability may be a hit and miss as things get back up to speed.

Phones 4u trading director, Scott Hooton said that Phones 4u are pleased to confirm that all Sony Ericsson Satio stock has been flashed with new software and recommenced trading on 4th December. Sales of the Satio were too much over the weekend and they are confident that the device will continue to perform strongly throughout the Christmas trading period.

So, I think Sony Ericsson staff will be getting their Christmas party.

Sony’s Thinnest NW-A840 Features OLED UpTo 64GB Capacity

Posted by admin On September - 16 - 2009

Sony NW A840Today! I am going to represent the most stylish appearance as Sony, one of the biggest brands in media player market is again going to have blast with the launch of its latest A-Series OLED Walkman with some comprisable features. The NW-A840, the most brilliant Walkman from Sony is available in brown and black has all the features people have been wishing for in previous Walkmans.

The new NW-A840 series is a thinnest Walkman at only 7.2mm, has a jaw-dropping 2.8 inch WQVGA OLED screen, available in 16Gb, 32Gb and 64Gb. It also has S-Master digital amplifier, a TV-out with 720×480 resolution, FM radio and noise canceling. It does not have a WiFi or touchscreen. The browser on the X-Series was a disaster. The X-Series Walkman used an old CPU and lacked the memory needed an optimal iPhone-esque browser.

The newest A-Series Walkman is drag and drop that also includes for the first time auto converting video transfer and come bundle with premium MDR-EX300SL earphones. Other nice features to color your sound involve DSEE, Clear Stereo, Clear bass, and lyric display. It has about 9 hours of video playback at 384kbps MPEG-4 and 29 hours battery life at 128kbps. Codec support looks like WMA, MP3, AAC, ATRAC, HE-AAC, PCM/wav, ATRAC AL. The usual AVC (H2.64), WMV and MPEG-4 are allowed for movies.

The NW-A840 with OLED will be available for 263$ to 439$ (for the 64Gb version) first on October 31st, in Japan. My bro has seen in a personal media player and gave his opinion that it has a jaw-dropping 2.8 inch WQVGA OLED screen. What’s your opinion?

ColorWare Colorizes the Slim Sony’s PS3

Posted by admin On September - 14 - 2009

ps3slimJust go to ColorWare’s site, see how different you can make your favorite consumer electronics. ColorWare color coats the ps3 slim, therefore it made sense to attempt to do it again only. They have pulled out all the stops to colorize the console as well as controller. You can customize the color of the PS3 logo, the base, the top of the console and up to four controllers. If you wanna turn your PS3 Slim into a Technicolor dream coat then you can. ColorWare would have it no other way. Everything is scratch resistant and high-gloss once they colorized. I think it is better than a paint job on your vehicle. They will sell you a console outright for $449 to ColorWare it or at $149 if you send in your PS3 Slim to ColorWare.

So, you can now get your new PS3 Slim in various delightful paint colors. You can easily mix-and-match various colors for the base, lid, logo as well as your controllers and that involves pastels, glossy primaries and even metallic. As part of the deal, they will paint one of your Dual Shock controllers but for additional controller paint job, you are looking at $30 bucks each. Make sure to hit that “Brainstorm” button to see what kind of color schemes the machine randomly chooses for you. There is nothing like lime green and a chocolate brown gaming console.

ColorWare offers two kinds of colors, solid and metallic, and all the colors include a scratch resistant finish, high-gloss that protects your computer from minor scuffs and also prevents the color from fading. Metallic colors contain small flakes that add a little sparkle and variation. The solids are pure color and without any effect. Either color type will be a perfect addition to your console.

So, I agree that now the PS3 got some colors besides black. Good!
