Louis Vuitton iPad cases for the rich Apple fan

Posted by admin On April - 29 - 2010

If you are having your iPad then dressing it up right is the only key to flaunt it among the other iPad owners. If you ask me, minimalism is the mantra to go with Apple’s minimalist tablet.

iPad_caseAfter the brand’s luxury cases, the recent in a row of luxurious iPad accessories is from Louis Vuitton for almost all of the Apple gadgets, iPhone and iPod.

Louis Vuitton’s iPad case is available in signature monogram and the monochrome Damier Graphite. The ultra-portable, lightweight attache cases will hit the stores in 2011 for a price of $366. Not sure if the monogram service is available for the iPad cases, but if it is, then it is worth the wait.

Lost-and-Found Apple’s Next iPhone

Posted by admin On April - 27 - 2010

Apple's_Next_iPhoneThis is Apple’s next iPhone and was found lost in a bar in Redwood City, covered to look like an iPhone 3GS. It has been noticed that the features in this lost-and-found next-generation iPhone are completely new and drastically different from what came before.

Here’s the detailed list about Apple’s next iPhone:

1.What’s new

2.Front-facing video chat camera

3.Camera flash

4.Improved regular back-camera (the lens is larger than the iPhone 3GS)

5.Improved display. It is not clear if it is the 960×640 display thrown around before, it certainly looks like it, with the ‘Connect to iTunes’ screen displaying much higher resolution than on a 3GS

6.Micro-SIM instead of standard SIM (like the iPad)

7.Split buttons for volume

8.Power, volume and mute buttons are all metallic

What are the changes?

1.The back is completely flat, made of either glass or ceramic or shiny plastic for the cell signal to poke through. Tapping on the back makes a more higher and hollow pitched sound compared to tapping on the glass on the front/screen, but that could just be the orientation of components inside making for a different sound

2.Slightly smaller screen than the 3GS (but higher resolution)

3.An aluminum border going completely around the outside

4.16% Larger battery

5.3 grams heavier

6.Everything is more squared off

7.Internals components are miniaturized, shrunken and reduced to make room for the larger battery

Dell AeroDell leaked yesterday,  Aero as compared to the other crazy handsets
is definitely the runt of the litter. But the Aero will be first on your doorstep with a leaked Q2 AT&T release date.

On the hardware side, it is a slow 624MHz Marvell processor that drives that 3.5 inch capacitive multitouch screen. But it is planned to ship with a capacitive stylus for handwriting recognition like the Chinese model.

More interesting is the software. Aero comes with QuickOffice right out of the box like Motorola’s CLIQ and supports Microsoft ActiveSync and Exchange to keep in touch with your work or business. There is on-device photo editing and ‘aggregated notifications’ for the gathering of social networks Dell’s agreed to support.

The device would have a WebKit browser with Flash Lite, leaks reveal it will have a robust media player also – robust enough to have some sort of download ability and music streaming protected by Windows Media DRM. Though it is still Android 1.5 onboard, docs show Dell plans a “refresh” to Android 2.1 sometime between Q3 and Q4, but it is not easy to say whether the Aero will get an OTA update or only new Aeros will ship with Eclair.

So, just wait and find out this handset.

Microsoft Kin Two: Stylish and Intuitive

Posted by admin On April - 13 - 2010

Microsoft Kin 2The Kin Two outshines its sibling, the Kin One with the stronger specs and a better design. But is it perfect? No, omissions and limitations within the software keep it from being a threat to lower-priced smartphones on Verizon.

The design of the Kin Two is much more attractive than its squat sibling. It has a  roomier keyboard as well as a larger display. When my friend John Beg, took it for tests, he found the keys comfortable to press and nicely spaced.

He was impressed with the Kin Two’s 8-megapixel camera and he took a few snapshots at the launch event, which took place in a dimly lit nightclub. He was also impressed with how powerful the flash was. Faces were nicely highlighted without being completely blown out.

The details appeared sharp and colors looked fairly natural in his test shots. The Kin Two also captures HD video, which he unfortunately did not get a chance to test out. More info we will disclose further.

Bloomberg: Palm is up for grab

Posted by admin On April - 12 - 2010

Bloomberg has just informed that Palm is putting itself up for grab  and the offers will come in this week. This is really a pretty good news, considering by CEO, Jon Rubinstein who was adamant just a few days ago that Palm had a plan to get profitable palmeven when his organization’s stock price went on a buyout-rumor fueled rollercoaster. Bloomberg says that Palm is already retained Qatalyst and Goldman Sachs Partners to find a buyer, with HTC and Lenovo both expressing interest and Dell’s apparently already taken a pass. But on the record, none of these parties are saying anything but if this is true, things are about to get fast and wild.

Don’t worry, I will keep you updated with new information regarding this, so keep in touch!!
