King of Pop Michael Jackson has gone from our life but his items, dress etc are still in demand and everybody has a dream to have anything of Michael Jackson. Recently, iconic crystal-encrusted white glove worn by Michael Jackson has gone to the highest bidder for $49,000. A United States buyer has bought the trademark glove and will go on display at the Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas.
This glove sold on Sunday in Melbourne. Jackson had worn this glove in 1996, in Sydney when he married Debbie Rowe. During Michael’s 1984 Victory Tour, he wore a white glove fitted with tiny lights selling for £44,300 in the Profiles in History auction in Calabasas, near Los Angeles. Designer Ted Shell has designed the white glove which was one of two for big star Jackson. It was made-up of Austrian crystal rhinestones, shinning bugle beads and it was fitted with 50 tiny lights drawing power from nine volt battery in the cuff and with a switch to turn them on and off. For added visual impact on stage, the glass light bulbs were wired on separate circuits makes them twinkle at random.
This action includes about 1,200 unique pieces of Hollywood history, Michael’s red V-necked jumper encrusted with deep red rhinestones and white fedora hat, which were most prominent and fetching £29,500 with an Elvis Presley guitar selling for £66,500.
From the late superstar’s ’suit of lights’, the white glove was described as “the ultimate piece of Michael Jackson memorabilia”.
I hope you would like his gloves.
