Halloween_pumpkinHalloween is nothing without pumpkins and Jack o’lanterns. Pumpkin carving is an important part of modern Halloween celebration. Whether it is simply carving a pumpkin for Halloween night or having a pumpkin carving party with your family and friends. For young and old people, this age old tradition is a main event.

In September, 1996, Pumpkin Carving 101 was first published as part of the Halloween Online Magazine to provide the quality information and entertainment to all interested in celebrating this wonderful tradition for Halloween.

I have got some few tips for making your jack-o’-lanterns more unique and better looking. So, here are some interesting tips:

•    Instead of free styling, always mark where you are carving first, especially for the lid. Once your knife in, you can do nothing about it.

•    If you want an accurate carving then draw or print your pattern on paper first and then you stick it on the pumpkin, so that you can use a pin to punch an outline.

•    Instead of using kitchen knives, use a scalpel as it is much better than kitchen knives.

•    You should be very creative. Instead of just cutting out holes, consider using a variety of carving depths. It is good to start off with the darkest areas to know where the threshold is. You can always scrape the trench, if is too shallow.

•    Never use candles as they are not safe for the kids and animals and don’t last; try those LED candles that have a convincing flickering glow.

•    You should keep the seeds for roasting as they make a good snack.

I hope you would like to follow these tips definitely.
