Good news is there for those who love the impacting sound of electric music that the Gibson Custom Shop has launched the Jimmy Page “Number Two” Les Paul. It looks faded, weathered as it looks with every Les Paul Standard. It has a beautiful sunburst finish with a red element which fades to amber-brown with a clear serial number dating it to 1959 and produced in a limited edition of 325 only, with two levels of aging:
1. The first 25 instruments are to be aged by vintage-reproduction master Tom Murphy then inspected, played, hand signed and numbered by Jimmy Page.
2. 100 guitars will be given the extensive aging treatment
3. 200 will be finished to Gibson’s VOS specs.
Gibson is very famous in the world for producing classic models in all major style of fretted instrument that includes electric and acoustic guitars, banjos and mandolins. The Gibson Les Paul guitar bears the name of the late, great Les Paul and is the best selling guitar.
Apart from being the guitar, this musical instrument has the vintage feel with more and more oomph will stay with the generations to come.
