The new is Blackbird Guitars which brings to you the limited edition Ferrari branded “Rider.” Believe me the ultra-rare Ferrari Blackbird guitars signed by F1 drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Philipe Massa, are the lightest travel and most durable guitars in the world. It is being sold at Ferrari stores in Europe.
Two years ago, the Blackbird Guitars carbon fiber travel guitar had come into the market. And since then, this lightweight and small guitar has gained much popularity. By Ferrari, they were commissioned to make a custom, limited edition Ferrari-branded Rider guitar.
Now, Blackbird travel Guitars derives a sleek look from Ferrari itself, the new Blackbird Guitars is made from high tech materials and the black carbon fiber with the Maranello Red interior, accented red A string and on top of it a Ferrari emblem to inspire the most passionate of the customers.
The construction of great acoustic guitar is like the construction of great race car that benefits from ultra light and stiff materials. Like Ferrari’s Formula 1 race cars, using carbon fiber for uni-body design of the guitar produces an instrument which sounds good and even better and it is much more durable than any travel guitar available today.
Blackbird designer and founder Joe Luttwak worked previously for Ferrrari in Maranello, Italy to start the guitar company. He had played a major role in the usage and design of carbon fiber material on the Blackbird Guitar. He said that so many ideas for Blackbird Guitar’s models were inspired by his time when he was at Ferrari and it was wonderful to make a model that honors their ingenuity, unparalleled technology and success.
This guitar was available at Ferrari stores in Europe. It is sad that this limited edition is no longer available but they are accepting special, custom orders on the Rider model. The Rider guitar starts at $1,499, but there is no information on what customization will cost.
