Vertu is now back after being in the news for its V Accessories collection to fascinate its discerning clientele with its new Signature Kissho Collection which is inspired by Japanese culture to mark the first anniversary of the Vertu Ginza flagship store in Tokyo next month.
The latest collection will feature handsets adorned with the makie Japanese lacquer technique and designed by the renowned Japenese lacquerware artist Kazumi Murose, who is also the proud holder of a “living national treasure” title.
This collection will feature an ultra limited edition of four handsets where each phone features a different design depicting a season – Kinko, Kikusui, Daigu and Nanten to represent spring, summer winter and autumn.
The rich lacquer work combines the precious silver and gold make true to the makie technique, which uses silver or gold powder sprinkled on lacquer.
The price tag of each phone is $215,720 (20 million yen).
