This sort of a device is particularly helpful for people who have lost their voices. This handset will decipher the movements of your mouth by measuring muscle activity and then concert them into sound or speech exclusively for the listener.
This technology apart from providing a great help to people who cannot speak, is also a means to provide security, where you have to share something urgent and confidential over the phone and do not want anyone to eavesdrop. Another noteworthy feature is that this device is universal and can translate any language spoken into the language of the listener. Good news for office goers also! KIT scientists confirmed that they are also working on technology to be used in an office environment.
