According to reporters earlier, Meego release for N900 is getting ready. Nokia’s MeeGo team has recently launched that the very first cut of the melded Moblin / Maemo mobile platform is now available for download. Specifically, users of Atom
notebooks, Atom-powered Moorestown MIDs and N900s have all been gifted with their own distributions which will boot off a USB stick or directly on the devices themselves.
It is sad that the MeeGo user experience is not included here, so if you flash your N900 you are going to end up booting into a terminal console, but some of you sickos are into that sort of thing, are not you? Next up for the team is a release billed 1.0 that will come in the month of May and we are told details on the road to that version will be revealed over the coming days.
So, take care of yourselves if you go for it.
