Apple iPhone 5 Won’t Support NFC

Posted by Ekant Sharma On March - 15 - 2011

If the industry sources are to be believed, then Apple’s latest version of iPhone will not support the NFC technology.

The NFC or Near Field Communication technology is the one which allows consumers to contactless payments by just simply waving a device over the reader. This technology is almost similar to the one that is used by the Oyster Card. Any device that consists of a NFC chip can be easily detected by a NFC supported cell phone. It also includes payments, T-shirts and posters, and is considered to be the next big thing in the technology world.

Apple iPhone 5

Apple iPhone 5

A few months back, the NFC technology was introduced by Google in its recently released Smartphone, Google Nexus S.
But, according to various mobile operators in the UK, Apple is not going to offer or support this technology anymore in its yet-to-be-launched Apple iPhone 5.

According to reliable sources, “The new iPhone will not have NFC, Apple told the operators it was concerned by the lack of a clear standard across the industry.”

It has been reported that the Apple is working on its own technology to take on NFC, and would let the user make payments through iTunes.

Now you can run applications on 58 inch table with the Multitouch table that allows users to connect their iPhone to a special doc connector found on the Multitouch table. And voila! You can surf through all your applications stored in your handset. But then again it’s worth noting that this system works only with iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 since other models have a slow processor.

The iPhone can be connected only via cable since the Table Connect does not support Wi-Fi connectivity. The table works really very fast and allows for all the typical hand gestures so that anyone and everyone can use it to their convenience.

Apple’s 3.5 inch display iPhone may not be a bad choice and in fact big enough for normal every-day usage. But sometimes you may want to view something really big, and that is when this 58 inch multitouch display from TableConnect comes handy.  Just by plugging in your iPhone and running an application, you can interact with your iPhone on the table and in a larger way.

This is for real, but still under process. How soon it hits the market, we are not very sure. Three developers from Austria have invented this and there are various videos and demonstrations available on the internet. So, just watch out, all you gadget freaks!

Louis Vuitton iPad cases for the rich Apple fan

Posted by Isha Farhad On April - 29 - 2010

If you are having your iPad then dressing it up right is the only key to flaunt it among the other iPad owners. If you ask me, minimalism is the mantra to go with Apple’s minimalist tablet.

iPad_caseAfter the brand’s luxury cases, the recent in a row of luxurious iPad accessories is from Louis Vuitton for almost all of the Apple gadgets, iPhone and iPod.

Louis Vuitton’s iPad case is available in signature monogram and the monochrome Damier Graphite. The ultra-portable, lightweight attache cases will hit the stores in 2011 for a price of $366. Not sure if the monogram service is available for the iPad cases, but if it is, then it is worth the wait.

Lost-and-Found Apple’s Next iPhone

Posted by Isha Farhad On April - 27 - 2010

Apple's_Next_iPhoneThis is Apple’s next iPhone and was found lost in a bar in Redwood City, covered to look like an iPhone 3GS. It has been noticed that the features in this lost-and-found next-generation iPhone are completely new and drastically different from what came before.

Here’s the detailed list about Apple’s next iPhone:

1.What’s new

2.Front-facing video chat camera

3.Camera flash

4.Improved regular back-camera (the lens is larger than the iPhone 3GS)

5.Improved display. It is not clear if it is the 960×640 display thrown around before, it certainly looks like it, with the ‘Connect to iTunes’ screen displaying much higher resolution than on a 3GS

6.Micro-SIM instead of standard SIM (like the iPad)

7.Split buttons for volume

8.Power, volume and mute buttons are all metallic

What are the changes?

1.The back is completely flat, made of either glass or ceramic or shiny plastic for the cell signal to poke through. Tapping on the back makes a more higher and hollow pitched sound compared to tapping on the glass on the front/screen, but that could just be the orientation of components inside making for a different sound

2.Slightly smaller screen than the 3GS (but higher resolution)

3.An aluminum border going completely around the outside

4.16% Larger battery

5.3 grams heavier

6.Everything is more squared off

7.Internals components are miniaturized, shrunken and reduced to make room for the larger battery

idisplaytopIf you are a Mac user and if you want an extra monitor that can turn your iPhones and iPads into external multitouch displays. Then what to do is download the iDisplay app, an extension for OS X, and let the data flow over either Wi-Fi or 3G.

Now, just turn your iPad/iPhone into a convenient side monitor for your Mac desktop. This is right that the connection goes both directions, so you can use your multitouch gadget as an input device. The iDisplay app is $4.99 and available in iTunes whereas the corresponding OS X extension is available through the iDisplay website.

Wow! great news, is not?

Natuzzi hides iPod dock and Speakers inside their Sectional

Posted by Isha Farhad On March - 19 - 2010

I am sure that the Italian furniture manufacturer Natuzzi will do more than adding aesthetic value to my living room. So, it will not be a surprise that Natuzzi has planned to accommodate the iPhone, iPod, or other digital music devices with an integrated dock to their sectional sofa. natuzzi-ipod-sofa

Natuzzi has integrated an iPod dock and two speakers at one corner of the sofas for an extremely relaxing experience while listening to the music. The hi-tech sofa has high-quality leather finish with a custom order option to choose from the wide range of Natuzzi leather colors to match your decor. It is not clear how much this leather baby will cost us, but I think it won’t be cheap.
