Gooding & Company, the internationally recognized prestigious auction house, ever since settting the record at Palm Beach in the year 2006 is now looking for the golden opportunity to return. And in Florida, with their first ever auction, they are again here. Among all the exceptional consignments, I think the best show will be a 1931 Voisin C20 “Mylord” Demi-Berline that is hailed as being the most sensational classics from the era, so the fact that it never made it into production is a shame.

This Voisin C20 “Mylord” Demi-Berline is a unique combination of artistic and technical excellence and the vehicle is recognized as a marvelous tribute to the design and engineering genius of Gabriel Voisin. This vehicle is powered by one of only five extraordinarily intricate Voisin 12-cylinder engines which are known to have been built by the aviation pioneer. From the pre-war era, it is one of the most complex engines.

With an array of dials and switches, Voisin has transferred the chapters of aerodynamics to vehicle dynamics in his unusual interior designs that are exposed for the driver to see.

Gooding & Company, the auction house have been fortunate to get their hands on this unique piece of automobile and this auction will take place at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance in Florida on Friday, March 12, 2010 at 4 PM.

So, go and enjoy this auction.
