Mercedes-Benz has followed the redesign of its standard SL-Class range and introduced the powerful SL ever built. The Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series was a new model for the year 2009. However, their carbon fiber seats won’t make it to the U.S. as they do not have side-impact airbags.

As with the previous Black Series offerings from Mercedes-Benz, the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series promises supercar performance and thanks to huge quantities of a lighter and power curb weight.
Mercedes car wrings out an extra 57 horsepower from the car’s twin-turbo 6.0-liter V12 and bringing total output of 661 horsepower that is 20 more than the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 Edition. But the engine’s torque rating remains the same at 738 lb-ft.
Through Mercedes’ five-speed automatic, Power is sent which is able to shift in as little as 250 milliseconds. The automatic transmission has two different sport settings as with the car’s suspension.
To become the SL65 AMG Black Series, the Mercedes-Benz also went on a hefty diet. The SL shed about 570 pounds through the extensive use of carbon fiber in the car’s front hood, fenders and new fixed roof, bringing its curb weight down to a still rather portly 4,080 pounds. The idea to make the roof a fixed unit was not strictly a weight-saving measure. Because of the car’s steamroller rear tires, it simply would not fit in its retracted position.
Mercedes also include the SL Black Series with a new adjustable suspension, larger brakes, a wider track, a lower hood and a deployable rear spoiler to round out the performance package.
The Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series includes the features like carbon fiber shell racing seats, plenty of Alcantara and a flat bottom steering wheel.
The SL65 AMG Black Series are available in black, white, silver and red with the price range of $300,000.
So, I hope you would like to take a ride on Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series.
