Now, no more aping the west! Here comes India’s first ever web browser ‘Epic’. The browser has been launched by a company named Hidden Reflex based in Bangalore. ‘Epic’ is widely based on Mozilla platform and it is said to be the first antivirus browser for users. It actively supports a sidebar which permits creating documents in 12 regional Indian languages, thus, giving an added advantage to the user.

As users, what not can you do. You can access newest national and regional news from popular publications and television channels. You can get information such as stock quotes, live cricket scores, videos, top music albums and other local events.

Further, ‘Epic’ is offered preinstalled with applications such as ‘a to-do-list’, maps, Orkut, Gmail, Facebook, games, file Backup, My Computer and much more. Imagine, you are replying to a mail and at the same time previewing parts of another email. Yes, you can surely do that. Google which launched newest Gmail Labs feature now has come up with Preview pane. This application allows users to read a mail while replying to another.

Those users who are engaged with Gmail through iPad or Android will immediately distinguish the interface. The design has been made user-friendly and is inspired by the email service’s mobile web apps. As per Google‘s Official Gmail Blog, those users who have higher-resolution screens are expected to get the advantages out of this feature.

Though, across the news, there has been lot of criticism about the feature. Many experts find it incomplete product and also, giving a clunky picture. It could be because Gmail labs are still not able to get compatible with various other supported browsers.
