Quick Heal Technologies, one of the best global anti-virus solution providers, has started a new service called Laptop Tracker in the Kerala market, in an effort to help the Indian law enforcement agencies to track down the stolen laptops.
Mr M.J. Srikant, Vice-President, Corporate Communications, Quick Heal Technologies, has stated that this newly launched technology has marked the establishment of a unique synergy among corporate entities and law enforcement agencies.
He added further that the company has also briefed about and discussed the technology with the police authorities.
He also said that this is an effort towards the corporate social responsibility the company has in order to help consumers as well as the law enforcement agencies to track down the stolen laptops all across the country region. He added that “We are keen to get feedback on this emerging technology and the scenario arising there from.”
It is being highly anticipated that this service would help people and law enforcement agencies to trace out a laptop pretty easily if it is lost or misplaced. Moreover, it will also help people to identify whether a second-hand laptop they are planning purchase is the stolen one or not.
Currently, this technology has already been launched in four Indian cities, which include Hyderabad, Indore, Coimbatore, and Jaipur.
