Rock with Rockport Aquila Loudspeakers

Posted by Abhyudaya Tripathi On August - 31 - 2009

aquila SpeakersI never accept other’s taste when there is a matter of listening music. And I believe that nobody accepts even you also because we all have different taste, preferences and favorites. Therefore, Rockport has something for all of us by keeping our interest and favorites in mind i.e. Rockport Aquila loudspeakers.

Rockport Technologies bring the Aquila loudspeakers for music lovers who revere greater bass extension as well as headroom. It sounds really great and its designs as well as finish are top notch. Most of the speakers from other companies do not really look like they belong in a fine home. But when I look at the graceful lines and high quality paint job on these speakers I can see that they would do justice to any fine home, immediately.

The Rockport Aquila is at the third position from the top in the Rockport hierarchy of loudspeakers.

Aquila loudspeakers include following features:

•    A 6″ midrange driver
•    The Scanspeak D30 tweeter
•    A floor-standing three-way design incorporating a 13″ side-firing woofer
•    A modified ring radiator motor system coupled to a soft dome
•    A very low resonant frequency
•    25Hz – 20k KHz with nominal 4 ohm impedance
•    A sensitivity of 89dB (SPL/2.83v)
•    Multi-layer MDF enclosure with variable section thickness, (up to 3″ for the side walls and 5″ for the front baffle)
•    Ten internal braces

The woofer and midrange drivers are custom-built by using Rockport’s proprietary, variable section thickness, carbon-fiber sandwich composite cones. Then these custom cones are coupled to custom designed motor systems built by Audiotechnology of Denmark.

So, no need to fall in the line of musical sinners. I would love to base my system around these beautiful speakers. If you also like to replace your present speakers then you are invited to stop by and give them a listen. You can’t understand what all of the excitement is about until you hear them for yourself.

Dell 1Now! My all problems are going to solve. The problem arises from my office where I try to do more with my Desktop with less space. And this problem is tackled by none other than Dell Vostro.

We all know that Dell is known for its pretty line of Vostro computers but it was felt that it was a tad lacking in one area i.e. the All-In-One. Dell has currently announced the addition of a new computer to its Vostro line, the Vostro All-In-One. This system is ideal for a business atmosphere, and it is a perfect fit for cubicles. With the typical kickstand, the Vostro all-in-one comes with a VESA mount that can be used as a display arm or wall mount.

The Vostro All-In-One includes:

•    A 19” display
•    An Intel Core 2 Duo
•    GMA4500 HD
•    Up to 2GB of RAM and 250GB HDD
•    Wireless peripherals
•    A webcam
•    Ethernet with an optional 802.11 adapter

dell-2In this way it has become a true workhorse, it also houses very business casual black attire, a respectible 19-inch LCD monitor as well as those oh-so-important business features like parallel and serial ports. There are other items of note such as options for a built-in webcam; backup software and VESA mount so you can attach the unit to a table or wall. Dell also offers a Backup and Recovery Manager and video conferencing software.

The Dell Vostro all-in-one has an entry price of $629 that seems fair enough if you compare it to other Desktop. It is expected to debut in North America, and is already available in China and Japan.

So, I would like to say THANKS to Dell Vostro to solve my problem.

Kindle Books Replaces Actual Books, Interesting!!

Posted by Yogesh Kumar On August - 29 - 2009

I and my sister are very fond of books. We always enjoy reading books in our spare time or whenever we travel a long journey. Reading books not only enhance my knowledge but also works as my best friend as it helps me in spending time when I am or whenever I get bored. But something new, more environmentally-friendly and more interesting than books has come into my and my sister’s life i.e. Kindle.kindle

Amazon Kindle is an electronic book device which is launched by Amazon.com in the United States in November 2007. It is more eco-friendly than a simple book according to a new study released by the Cleantech Group. The group has found that the environmental impact of Kindle was nice significant and also found that dramatically, the numbers can change over the course of the lifecycle of device which depends more on your reading habits.

The Kindle can produce roughly 168 kg of CO2 throughout the Kindle’s lifecycle that is a clear winner against the potential savings: 1,074 kg of CO2 if it replaces three books a month for four years and when used to the fullest capacity of the Kindle DX then up to 26,098 kg of CO2. Some readers are attracted by decreasing prices still can break even at 22.5 books over whole life of the device.

This is really a good news that six colleges in the U.S. will make textbooks available on the Kindle DX to use less paper specifically.

But, there are some obvious environmental drawbacks of this using electronic device Kindle like: production of a Kindle produces 168 kilograms of carbon dioxide as compared to 7.46 kilograms for a book, the Cleantech Group says citing many sources. Like reading a newspaper on a PC, you will need electricity to run an electronic book, Kindle.

So, its impact can turn to a negative if folks continue to buy books and print periodicals in addition to e-books. Let’s see if I would continue to be as an electronic reader.

2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid: The most fuel – efficient Car

Posted by Abhyudaya Tripathi On August - 29 - 2009

I always prefer to drive those cars that are fuel efficient car because the fuel efficient cars gives good mileage as it consumes less fuel and therefore it saves my money. The big benefit I get from this car is that it is less polluted. Therefore, it doesn’t harm the environment as well as it helps to keep the environment fresh. So, I am ready to welcome the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid as it is the most fuel – efficient car.

2010-FordThe Ford Motor Company has launched its 2010 Fusion Hybrid and continuously promoting the new hybrid midsize sedan’s mileage as far better than the Toyota Camry Hybrid’s. The 2010 Fusion’s old models have been consistent with proven reliability. But the new model is still the most fuel efficient midsize hybrid car in the market.

To use Ford’s second generation hybrid system, the Fusion Hybrid is the first vehicle. It has more than 200 distinct inventions as well as patents that are pending for the revised version. In 2004, its first generation of hybrids was launched in the Escape Hybrid SUV, later, in its twins the Mazda Tribute Hybrid and the Mercury Mariner Hybrid. This new version has a nickel-metal-hydride battery with 20 percent more power which is 30 percent smaller. It means the Fusion Hybrid sacrifices only a negligible amount of trunk space in comparison of the standard version.

I am using government incentives and also other tax credits as the ways to afford a new hybrid automobile. This new vehicle has several changes from previous models because:

* It maintains great mileage
* It is a lot sportier
* It provides plenty of comfort and seating

Other features are:

* The 2.5-liter engine
* It is larger and more comfortable
* Has a graphical dashboard and feedback system
* Lightweight, small and has a simple design
* Might not have a 50 mpg rating, but you can achieve more using proper driving techniques
* Provides much tighter integration of engine operation and power delivery
* New control logic for the regenerative brakes recaptures up to 94 percent of the braking energy and feeds it to the battery
* Drive up to 47 mph on battery electricity without using a drop of gasoline
* Averages about 80 mpg

I prefer fuel economy as the one of most important aspect over styling and future graphic displays. And these both features are offering by this Ford vehicle at a very competitive price.

So, the 2010 Fusion, offers you a challenge to drive more efficiently in an effort to extend mileage. Would you like to take this challenge?

Robot Grasshopper with Beautiful Wings can Fly!

Posted by Yogesh Kumar On August - 28 - 2009

Here is interesting news that I am providing you today related to ROBOT. You might have seen real grasshopper but I have brought a grasshopper for you in my article which is a robot not a real.

grasshopperA 7 gram Robot Grasshopper was capable of jumping a distance of 1.4 meters few months back. One advantage about jumping was that it combined advantages of being on the ground with the most important advantages of being able to fly – obstacle avoidance. Other advantage of being able to fly is that you can cover large distances efficiently and quickly. Jumping a distance of 1.4 meters was very big for such a small robot. But a new feature has been added to it that is Wings. The robot is now a very efficient mover also by using reduction gears and legs that act as springs.

By adding another feature of real grasshopper anatomy i.e. wings, guys at EPFL’s Laboratory of Intelligent Systems have made their robot grasshopper into a great flier.

Wings are made of mylar, carbon and shape memory muscles. Therefore, their wings are controllable and towards sources of light, the robot is able to steer itself. These wings will be extendable and retractable like a real grasshopper. When integrated with the jumping legs and some solar panels then you have got a cheap, tiny and efficient robot capable of covering large distances over just about any sort of terrain by gliding, jumping, landing and by repeating.

Sad thing is that the robot is still in the process of development and currently it does not have any brain cells and as of now, the wings and body are not really able to work together. The researchers at EPFL’s Laboratory of Intelligent Systems are still working on it to grow its functions. It will also have a pair of jumping legs as well as solar panels when it is fully integrated. Eventually, the wings will also be extendable and retractable. It will also have a small on board battery which will provide energy for about 300 jumps at the intervals of 3 seconds.

I think it will be a great time to own this robot and travel around with it.
